Features The Community Based Outpatient Clinics are staffed by caring and dedicated VA employees. These professionals provide many services including primary care and mental health services to smaller communities and rural areas to provide care that is accessible and convenient. The Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center clinics are located in Athens, GA and Aiken, SC. These two facilities are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Driving Directions Map to Athens Clinic Take I-20 to exit 148 (Hwy 22). Turn right onto Hwy 22. Stay on Hwy 22, approximately 28 miles. It will dead end into US Hwy 78. Turn left on Hwy 78. Take Hwy 78 through Lexington and Crawford into Athens . Just before you reach downtown Athens , you will turn left onto US Hwy 129/441 North. Stay straight onto US Hwy 29 when US Hwy 129/441 breaks off. Take Hwy 29 a few more miles. As soon as you cross the Madison County Line, the clinic, will be on your right about 2 hundred yard beyond the Madison County Line sign.
