Barrier Island Station-Kitty Hawk is located among 100 acres of pristine Maritime Forest that adjoins almost 700 acres of wildlife preserve. The resort has countless activities which include basketball, tennis, indoor heated pool, full service fitness center, olympic size outdoor pool, nature trails right on site, pond with fishing (stocked) , bike rentals and more. Water sports include scuba as this area is home to the 2,000 shipwrecks (known as the Graveyard of the Atlantic), and fishing, sailing, power boating, kayaking, kite surfing, wind surfing, and hang gliding.
