Chinle CBOC

Description of Program: The Northern Arizona VA Health Care System (NAVAHCS) and the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF) have worked together to provide a VA health care team to work side-by-side with an Indian Health Services (IHS) team at Chinle. This team- based approach to primary care was designed to enhance access to health care for Veterans residing in and around the Navajo Nation. As of July 2012, eligible Veterans are able to access to both IHS and VA health care services in one location. In addition to enhancing primary care services, Veterans will have access to VA post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) counselors.
