Fort Belvoir USO
Fort Belvoir is one of the largest Army bases in the United States. Covering almost 14-square miles and supporting more than 31,000 military and civilian personnel, Fort Belvoir is larger than many towns. That is where the USO comes in. We help service members and their families connect and feel that sense of community that is so difficult to maintain with a transient lifestyle, and aim to provide a home away from home. The new USO Warrior and Family Center - Fort Belvoir opened in February 2013. It is the largest USO center ever constructed - 25,000 square feet. This state of the art facility provides signature USO programs and events for military families, junior enlisted and single service members, as well as robust programming for the wounded, ill, and injured (WII) and their families throughout the rehabilitation process. The building is designed to provide places that promote physical health and recreation; family strengthening; positive mental health; and education, employment and community reintegration - the key components of USOs coninuum of care.
