Fort Meade and the National Security Agency (NSA) combined are the largest employers in the state of Maryland and the 4th largest workforce of any Army installation in the continental United States. The total population of the base is 109,000. The USO Center is located near the Defense Information School student barracks. Programs are geared toward military families and service members serving on active duty status.The USO at Fort Meade hosts and helps support a variety of programs and activities designed to boost morale and welfare of service members and their families. Community members may wish to fellowship, participate in activities such as family game night, scrapbooking, and knitting, or take advantage of freshly brewed morning coffee or our coupon and movie exchange program.
