Lucena , officially the City of Lucena , ( Tagalog : Lungsod ng Lucena ), known simply as Lucena City , is a 2nd class highly urbanized city in Calabarzon , Philippines . According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 266,248 people. [3] . It is the capital of the province of Quezon but governed administratively independent from the province.
