MILITARY CHILD CARE IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD (MCCYN)

The MCCYN program provides fee assistance for families who are unable to access on-installation child care. Families living within 15 miles or 20 minutes of a Naval Base must be on the base child development center waitlist before applying for fee assistance. Ages: Birth - 12 yrs For Families of: Active Duty Members Active Reserve Members Navy Recruiters DoD civilians of Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility and Naval Base Kitsap. To qualify, you must live in one of the zip codes listed below. For married Members, the spouse must be working, looking for work or attending school. The same policies will apply to unmarried legal parents living in the same household. To apply for care: Step 1: Request care via MilitaryChildCare.com . Step 2: Once you have submitted your packet, your child will be placed on our wait list. If there is a space available at a Child Development Center (CDC) or Child Development Home (CDH), you will be offered that opportunity. Step 3: Once you are offered the MCCYN program option, you will be directed to contact Child Care Aware .
