Naval Undersea Museum

The Naval Undersea Museum is the only official Navy museum that interprets all of the Navy’s undersea activities. Try your hand at driving a submarine in the real control room from USS Greenling (SSN-614) or explore physical properties of the ocean though hands-on interactives. View hundreds of artifacts that represent over 150 years of undersea history and technology, including the best collection of torpedoes in the country, submarine equipment, rare diving gear, and ROVs. And don’t miss the museum’s biggest attractions (literally) — its many macro artifacts, which include DSRV Mystic, Trieste II (DSV-1), Deep Quest, and a submarine rescue chamber. With 20,000 square feet of exhibits, there’s something for everyone! The Naval Undersea Museum also offers a variety of public programs, especially STEM programs for children, to connect visitors to the Navy’s rich undersea history and technology. Located outside the main gate of NUWC Keyport, the museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily (closed on Tuesdays from October to April).
