Ramstein CASF USO Center
A unique feature of this USO center is it is embedded within a secured facility that is not open to the public. The reason for this is very clear: the 435th CASF provides medical service to service members who have been wounded at forward-deployed locations. The USO has a lounge within the CASF with a floor area of approximately 1200 square feet. The center provides the amenities and comforts of home to recuperating service members. Amenities: The center also serves as a welcome respite spot for medical staff and personnel who work at the CASF. Free Internet access and calling cards allow wounded service members and the medical staff to stay in contact with family members. We also provide clothing (under and outerwear), toiletries, shoes and other items that service members may need during their recovery and their return to their families. The CASF USO lounge currently provides the following amenities: One 42” and one 50” flat-screen televisions DVD players and portable DVD players with over 450 movies on DVD Six laptop computers with integrated webcams and headphones for internet access and communication PlayStation video game console Xbox 360 video game console Wii video game components Board games and cards books, magazines, newspapers Toiletries: toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, soap, shampoo, razors, shaving cream Clothing: lounge pants (sweats), socks, underwear Operation Enduring Care packages (for emergency situations only) which include: duffle bag, sweatshirt, sweatpants, socks, t-shirt, basic toiletries, jacket, hat, underwear One large leather couch, large leather love seat and three large leather and suede seats Three leather recliners One large table and chairs also a corner L-shaped bench seat with table for eating and/or board games Backpacks for carrying personal belongings or clothing purchases on flights home And many more Hours: Every day, 24 hours a day Location: The Kaiserslautern USO’s center located at the CASF on Ramstein AB is a model USO center with the sole purpose of taking care of American wounded service members who are staged within this facility.
