Worldwide the USO (United Service Organizations) has been supporting the morale, recreation, and welfare of U.S. troops since 1941, and will continue the charge—until every one comes home. At this critical time in our nation’s history, the opportunity to serve those that serve America is fundamental. The ability to evolve and anticipate with the changing needs of our Armed Forces is a critical element of the USO Mission. The recognition of the need of the USO Centers in the Rocky Mountain region has become increasingly clear. The USO is not a government agency. It depends on the active support of patriotic Americans to fund the services it provides. Amenities: It provide service members with benefits that include free internet, wi-fi, and e-mail access, prepaid long-distance phone cards, cell phones to call home, showers for the soldiers coming back from overseas, books and magazines, video game stations, big-screen TV’s, snacks and food, or even a simple cup of coffee. In 2010, the USO centers worldwide were visited nearly 8 million times by military members and their families.
