Sakamoto

Sakamoto Station ( 坂元駅 Sakamoto-eki ? ) is a railway station operated by JR East in Yamamoto , Miyagi Prefecture , Japan. The station is currently closed following severe damage in the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami when the building and platform were severely damaged. JR East plans to move the station to a new location slightly farther inland, and aims to re-open the surrounding section of the Joban Line by 2017. [1]
