San Juan

San Juan City ( Filipino : Lungsod ng San Juan ) is the smallest city in the Philippines in terms of population and land area. It is one of the 16 cities and one municipality that make up Metro Manila , the capital region of the Philippines and is geographically located at its approximate center. The city is known for the site of the first battle of the Katipunan , the organization which led the 1896 Philippine Revolution against the Spanish Empire .
