Shinchi

Shinchi Station ( 新地駅 Shinchi-eki ? ) was a railway station operated by JR East in Shinchi . Fukushima Prefecture , Japan. Since March 11, 2011 the operation of the station has been suspended due to the severe damage to the railway and station facilities caused by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami . [2] JR East plans to move the station to a new location slightly farther inland, and aims to re-open the surrounding section of the Joban Line by 2017. [3]
