I try my best to get correct and current information of the theme park but flyers I get occasionally from Huis Ten Bosch confuse me. I think I’m very patient to get the information of events usually. I called the information center but I’m afraid the staff works there do not answer my questions promptly. I have to say the following information is the one to my best knowledge. They can be reached at 0570-064-110. However, you can’t dial the number from the base phones. I used my cell phone to call and only the recording guidance in Japanese answered. I had an impression that they don’t want to be reached. It seems you pay how much ever you are told at the gate of Huis Ten Bosch and enjoy whatever available on that day. Despite their unfriendly attitude, Huis Ten Bosch is well-known all through Japan and pays taxes to Sasebo city. They hire local people, too. Let’s support the theme park. Saga Meiji Restration Festival
The Nabeshima Domain (Saga) was one of the four influential domains in Japan: Satsuma (Kagoshima), Choshu (Yamaguchi), Tosa (Kochi) and Hizen (Saga). To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Meiji Restration that was taken place in 1868, Saga city is hosting the festival for the first time. You will see the parade of people in attires 150 years ago. The former castle will be lit up in the evening. Newly created dance will be dedicated to the ceremony.
