If a person survives one more year and scientific progress adds more than one additional year to that person's expected remaining life, the person has effectively gained time faster than aging takes it away. 06Why staying healthy is the strategy for reaching LEV

Sinclair's practical advice is less futuristic than LEV itself: stay healthy through the 90s and 100s. A person who reaches the next wave of therapies in better condition has more runway for the wave after that. Exercise, sleep, nutrition and prevention do not prove LEV will arrive, but they improve the odds of being present when a resetting technology becomes available.

07The generation question: are we one generation too early

Eric Schmidt's prediction of digital superintelligence within the decade adds another acceleration claim to the conversation. Sinclair remembers deciding at 18 that he would not be the last generation to experience a normal lifespan. The open question is whether today's adults are early enough to benefit, or whether the decisive tools will arrive for their children. His answer is not a promise of immortality; it is a wager that every extra healthy day is meaningful.
